TROVET has developed a special product range: Unique Protein. To create an elimination diet you only need to add a carbohydrate source. The preferred carbohydrate sources are boiled white rice or potato. In addition, you should add a dietary supplement (Trovet balance) to prevent any vitamin and mineral deficiencies:
- No disturbance in the diagnosis by other components.
- Does not contain added vitamins or minerals.
- Only the addition of olive oil and sunflower oil.
- Usable as self cooking elimination diet.

The advised usage duration of Unique Protein with boiled rice or potato is initially up to 6 weeks. When the food hypersensitivity symptoms diminish, Unique Protein can be given for life, when combined with boiled rice or potato and a vitamin and mineral mix (Balance). For dogs during (early) growth, the addition of Balance is mandatory from day one. There is also the possibility to choose for the TROVET hypoallergenic diets based on the same protein source.
